WHY MASSAGE THERAPY?
By getting a regular massage, you are taking the time to listen to what your body is telling you it needs. As you become more aware, you can begin to make better decisions that will lead to a healthier lifestyle.
As Registered Massage Therapists at A Healing Touch Massage, our mission is to provide you with the best care when it comes to treating your mind, body and spirit.
Reducing stress is key to a healthy lifestyle. When we are put into stressful situations that are beyond our control, a relaxing or revitalizing massage can ease that stress. Working with the parasympathetic nervous system (relaxing the nervous system) can decrease blood pressure and chronic pain as well as improve digestion.
Swedish massage is largely recognized for what it can do to help improve the physical body. This includes decreasing tension in the muscles caused by stress, treating acute or chronic injury, addressing numerous connective tissue issues or treating some pathologies. Massage can also help ease the discomfort cause by some pregnancies and help infants with colic. Along with a balanced diet and proper exercise, physical health is obtainable.
When we work towards having a healthy mind and body, we are indirectly working towards a healthy spirit or in other words better balance in our energy. Our energy can affect our mood and keeping a healthy energy will indirectly help keep the joy in our life.
